Enclosure No. 9.

38

Honourable Captain Superintendent of Police,

FRONTIER INCIDENTS.

On the 14th instant a detachment of the King's Own Scottish Borderers consisting of Lieutenant Reid and 33 other ranks arrived at Shataukok Police Station where they are at present encamped near the parade ground. Daily, during the past week, a patrol of the King's Own Scottish

Borderers, consisting of 1 N.C.0. and 6 men has patrolled

at uncertain hours the boundary path separating British

沙頭角

from Chinese Shataukok.

Although the general effect of these military patrols

has been excellent, and has been the means of stopping

the "Lung Man" from placarding the houses in British Territory

with anti-British posters, there is a likelihood of further

黄 trouble from the "Lung Man" egged on by their leader, Wong

振華

Chun Wa.

20th February, 1927.

sd. W.G. Gerrard.

Assistant Superintendent of Police,

(New Territories.)
